After watching the show last night honoring the Class of 2020 I awakened in the wee hours this morning thinking about the challenges and inspirations that were offered to these young people. They were inspired to think of the future without fear, and to imagine the impact they can have to create a new world view that would help to heal this country’s wounds and divides, to change what needs to be changed to enhance the country as a whole. To regard community as an asset to complete goals, not thinking of doing things only individually. To dream big dreams, and to be hopeful.
I am inspired also. Even though I am decades older than these amazing young ones. I am inspired to live my remaining days in service to these mighty goals too. What that is going to entail remains to be seen, but I can see clearly now that is where I want to go.
